TV Food Network Names Stage Left the Best Burger in NJ
For nearly 17 years Stage Left in New Brunswick has been serving up their "Best Cheeseburger in the World"! Now the TV Food Network, in their Food Network Magazine, has named Stage Left's burger the best in the Garden State.
The Stage Left burger is wood grilled and made with prime Angus twice-ground beef. The burger can be topped with two-year-aged Vermont cheddar and Nueske's Applewood Smoked Bacon.
"Our burger has always been popular," commented proprietor and co-owner Francis Schott. "But since Food Network named us the best burger in New Jersey, we've been getting a lot of inquiries." Stage Left offers the burger in the bar and outdoor cafe (weather permitting) nightly and a lunch on Fridays.
The Food Network joins the NJ Monthly Readers' Poll, which named the burger "Best in Central Jersey" and City Search, which actually named Stage Left's burger "Best Burger in New York City" in 2000, as the editors judged it better than any burger served up in the Big Apple. New York restaurateurs caused such an uproar the following year that Stage Left has been disqualified from consideration ever since... But Stage Left still feels it serves up the best burger in the country. So why stop in and give it a try!
