Sebastiano Capponi is the 37th generation of his family to won the Villa Calcinaia in Chianti Classico. The wines are, of course, exceptional. If you’re into noble titles, Sebastiano is actually the Conte Capponi. He was kind enough to join us from Florence for one of our first Zoom Wine Dinners during COVID.  He’s visited in-person for a tasting in 2023 and we’re honored that he is flying back just for this dinner on September 12th

When we mutually realized that we are celebrating the 100th anniversary of our building in the same year that he and his family is celebrating the 500th anniversary of Villa Calcinaia, we knew we had to organize a joint celebration.

In addition to a wonderful wine dinner, Sebastiano has opened up his family’s cellar and shipped in some historic older vintages! These library selections have been stored on the estate and shipped directly to us for the occasion.

What’s more, Sebastiano will allow folks to special order any of these bottles, to be shipped in time for Christmas!
