John and Karen Bergström planted the Bergström Vineyard on a gentle, 13-acre, south-facing slope in the Willamette Valley in 1999. That same year, son Josh Bergström returned home (with fiancée Caroline) from a program in Viticulture and Oenology in Burgundy. They made the first vintage of Bergström Wine that fall. Bergström wines are now universally acclaimed as among the very best wines of Oregon. They are a go-to for us.

Bergström now consists of five vineyards totaling 84 acres that span across four of the Willamette Valley’s best appellations: The Bergström Vineyard, Silice Vineyard, Winery Block, Gregory Ranch, Le Pré du Col and La Spirale. Each estate vineyard is farmed biodynamic.  They produce about 10,000 cases of ultra-premium and extremely sought-after wine each year, including two Chardonnays and nine different Pinot Noirs.  The wines from their home vineyard are consistently our favorite Oregon Pinot Noir...Full Stop. We will be drinking them with Josh (and hopefully with you) on April 9th at 7:30 PM.
