Gingerbread Creation Competition

Timeline

Tuesday November 4th-Monday November 10th: Registration open via online form

Tuesday November 11th-Monday November 17th: Kit pick-up at Stage Left Wine Shop  1pm-9pm

• If you prefer to have your kit dropped off at your location, please email us using the contact information below and we will do our best to accommodate.
• All kits for schools will be delivered to the schools.

Monday, December 1st: Gingerbread creations drop-off at NBPAC lobby 12:00-7:00PM

Tuesday December 2nd : Gingerbread creations are announced online. Voting Opens 

Wednesday, December 3rd : Gingerbread creations on display at NBPAC – In-person 12pm - 8:30pm

Thursday, December 4th:  Gingerbread creations on display at NBPAC – In-person  2pm - 5:00pm

Rules

• One entry per business, organization, or school. Assembly of the creation should occur in advance of NBPAC drop-off. (No more than 20 minutes of on-site “final touches” will be permitted)
• All gingerbread creations must be placed on a plywood board base or cardboard not exceeding 18”x18”. The base may be covered with foil, wax paper or similar to act as a moisture barrier.
• All the parts of the supplied kit must be used in construction of the house but can be modified.
• Though not required, participants may add additional elements to their gingerbread house design.
• However, all gingerbread creations must be 100% edible candy/embellishments/materials except for battery operated lights. Non-edible support structure material other than the baseboard may not be used. No artificial interior materials, such as styrofoam or wood, are to be used to construct or decorate the house.
• Please bring a sign or paper describing the gingerbread creation with your business, organization, or school name prominently featured.

Awards

Two gingerbread creations will receive trophies for the following categories:

• Best in the City (for Businesses or Organizations)
• Best in the Schools
